My first attempt at amigurumi was the viral meme of Bernie Sanders at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration sitting in a chair in mittens and a hooded coat. I have crocheted many a blanket and various other small items. Crocheting a small doll and following the pattern was a stretch for me but I persevered and was quite pleased with the result. I think this doll will have a special place in my future craft room. I need to find a doll scale folding chair and a display frame that will hold it nicely. Until then you can see him permanently displayed here on my blog.
Bernat Blanket Yarn
Bernat Blanket Yarn is my favorite blanket yarn to use. It whips up so quickly into a super soft and cozy blanket.
I use 4 skeins for blankets for babies or small children. I use 6 skeins for ages 12 and up. 4 skein directions: Using a size N hook, chain 75 and double crochet until you’ve used all the yarn. 6 skein directions: Using a size N hook, chain 125 and double crochet until you’ve used all the yarn.
